Re: 2013 E350 New Build
The metal cabinets are looking much nicer now that they are enclosed in wood!
What wood are you using to build your cabinets? Looks like 3/4 ply of some sort. For edging it looks like you may be using the "iron-on" stuff mostly, with some vinyl edging also? I'm looking to redo some (or all) of my SMB-spec cabinets with real wood this winter and am torn between 1/2" for weight and to match the original cabinets (which I will use as templates) or 3/4" for general availability and ease of edging.
Thoughts?

Thanks Steve,
I'm in SW Colorado. I may be coming through S. Cal if I end up heading to Baja when I'm done. Either going there or the Gulf coast.

Hey Brian,
I used 3/4" Birch ply for the boxes and 3/4" Cherry wood for the face frames. I used 3/4" Cherry ply for the end panels, doors, or anything that would be exposed and iron on edging on those.

Re: 2013 E350 New Build
Had a good day. Cabinet doors on, finished the bed platform, electrical trim, and door panels.
Compressor, inverter, and light switches hooked up.
Bed in folded mode.

Bed platform open. Ready to cut the mattress and take it in to get a folding cover made for it.

Re: 2013 E350 New Build
Dear Santa,
I've been a very good girl this year, and I only want one thing--Skinny's van!
That is some seriously professional looking work, Skinny. I love the bed over the custom wheelwell cabs, which is more or less how I've been planning to do mine.
Many thanks for such a great build thread. Lots of inspiration here.
Cheers,
Dia
