He's the dad of newborn twins, so car seat safety is on his mind (when he can actually think clearly that is, despite a profound lack of sleep).

Ah...I see. I wasn't aware there was an acronym for that. The sienna seats do have the child seat anchors, both my kid's car seats are attached that way. They aren't as easy to get to as our other car but they're most definitely there. That was actually one of the requirements I had when I set out to find some new seats to replace the factory benches. I wouldn't have gone with Sienna seats if they didn't have the LATCH system.

Re: MG Metalworks Build

Progress on the mirror conversion. A new set of 3D printed parts turned out great and I now have the position of the mirrors dialed. I have a ways to go on the plastic shroud that covers up the inner workings but that part is easy compared to what I just finished.

No weapons yet... I'm using a MakerBot Replicator2 at my desk but I have access to a larger Dimension printer if I need it. So far the MakerBot has been good. Not perfect, but pretty darn easy to churn out usable parts.

Buck... I haven't seen an older door to know if there are differences but when you're down here I can take a look and let you know. It wouldn't be a big deal though, the shape is the same. It's the mounting holes that may be different.

Yup. Holes are different. Pretty easy to convert to the '03+ mounting pattern with a good Uni-bit (conical bit). Just need to add 2 more holes and open up 2 of the existing.

Re: MG Metalworks Build

Whoa! Any chance you'd sell another set of these? New to forums and just got a 4x4 DHL van I want to build out.

From the first conversation about the concept to the installation was ~5 months. Sounds like a long time but I think the project moved pretty quickly considering I have a full-time job and two young kids...

A few pics of them after all the fab was done...

And a few after Dan got them mounted in the van...

Dan's working on other parts of the interior now so no pics of the upholstery yet.

I do have the parts to make one more set if you're interested.
