It is an Aluminess fear bumper. The 1-Up swing-away would not work for us because the latches used to secure the box and spare interfered with the swing arm. We eventually went with a North Shore NSR-2 rack attached to an 8” hitch extension. It allows us to open the rear doors without having to remove the bikes or the rack (https://northshoreracks.com/product-...2BaQ%3D.QQrDXF).

Just returned from an amazing month in Nevada and SW Utah with the bikes on the back for the first time. A bunch of miles on rough washboard roads and the bikes did fine. We had the Kuat NV 2.0 rack and added the Kuat Pivot 2 swing arm. This gave us just enough clearance for the spare tire and a loaded trasharoo. We're carrying around 90 lb of ebikes. The swing arm opens up to 120 deg so allows the spare to swing out enough to get both back doors open. Also using a Formosa zip up cover https://formosacovers.com/products/dual-bike-cover to keep the bikes clean-er and it worked great... well made cover. Trip report to follow.
