With the above tires and 3:73 gearing the speedo read low by about 10%..now it reads low about 2-3%. So it's still technically geared at little taller than stock.

I’m running 265/75R16, 2wd setup. Fully loaded I’m probably around 7500 pounds. I think 4.10 would put me in the sweet spot for RPMs on hills and reduce gear hunting and prolong my trans lifespan.

I’ve got 4x4 with 35’s in my long term plans, I’ve already decided on 4.88 for that. But that’s a year or two down the road so I need something to help in the interim.

Thanks for the reply!

I have pretty much your same setup - 265/75/16, 2wd, 7200-7500#. When I switched from 245 to 265 tires with the stock 3.73 rear axle, i experienced a pretty noticeable slow-down. Short highway on-ramps were especially dreadful. Switched to 4.10 gearing and it has made things a lot better. I would even consider going up another tire size when my current tires need replacing.
