service manual for parts breakdown?

I am looking for a source that has a manual I can download or really, just a breakdown in pictures like a fische finder style to see the assembly of front end for my 97 E350...

Figured that couldn't be beat since the one site from Motorcraft offered a 31 day pass for $20... This way, I can keep them for any little issue or project I wanna dive into...

Anyone needing info, just shout and I can look the info up!

Re: service manual for parts breakdown?

I went to the above website and there were no matches for service manual.

Also some where on the forum was posted the best service manual. Is chilton one good? Where can I get the official manual with a wireing diagram for my E350 V10. I heard it is $200 + .

Is this what I want?

I have a 2 amp draw and so far can not find it. A wireing diagram and manual would help.

Re: service manual for parts breakdown?

Hi Angel;

Pull one fuse at a time from the fuse block until the 2 amp draw stops. Then you have isolated the draw to one circuit. From there start hunting...

Regards,

Gavin

Re: service manual for parts breakdown?

Angel,

I bought a used set on eBay for my 2008 E-350 V-10 for like $40 with shipping.

Its a 3 volume set 2 of them are for service and the 3rd is just wiring diagrams.

I use them all the time but I like manuals. Because they were used and not quite perfect I didn't have to pay as much for them. And if I fold a page to scan it so I can write on it or take it with me for parts, or use them while working on the van and they get a little damp or something I don't feel so bad. If I paid like $200 plus for a new set you can order new from the Ford dealer I would have felt I would have to be extra careful with them not to damage them.

I also have seen the wiring diagrams alone for sale used on eBay as a single manual.

If you find the circuit by pulling the fuses like Gavin suggested and you need someone to look something up I can do that for you. I could even scan a page or two and e-mail them to you. Two Amps is a lot and should be easy to find. Ideally you want around 50 milliamps (1/2 amp) or less draw.

If your van is close to a 2008 my manuals might be close enough to figure out the case.

Re: service manual for parts breakdown?

Since we are taking of manuals I am looking for a genuine Ford Parts Manual for the 2008 Model Year.
I have seen some on eBay for the 2006 and older vans but I was hoping for something at least 2007 but would really like 2008. While the online manuals are OK the Fordparts.com one only gives you the base part numbers and I would something more. Does anyone know if they exist?

The Name and Number from the cover of the 2006 Econoline Parts Manual I saw read like this:

Ford Parts Manual
Ford Customer Service Division
2006 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog
Volume 1 Text and Illustrations

I haven't called the dealer to see if it can be ordered but if anyone know anything about the factory parts manuals please let me know

Thanks...Jamie

Re: service manual for parts breakdown?

Check your radio power switch in the back by the sink - it needs to be set to the van battery.

I had a 1.5A draw from that which would flatten my battery after 3 days.

If you switch it to extra battery it powers up the radio/cd player, which then draw current from the van battery (as it has multiple power connections).
