While there are few things that need changed in the new to me van I bought from bdyer, I am looking at changing out the flooring which is currently a bedrug over reflectix. I am considering doing Rhino Lining, over 1/2" ply, over rigid foam. Has anyone ever used Rhino Lining or the like in this application?
Do you mean laying rigid foam, then ply, then spraying the ply? I've thought of this but haven't done it. As far as I can tell the stuff will stick to anything. Actually, though, I would roll it. Much cleaner to roll it on and you can keep rolling till you get the thickness you like. Rolled Monstaliner looks amazing to me but I've only used RaptorLiner on my projects so far.
I'd be concerned with off-gassing while drying/curing, but I have no data to support this since I've never used these products. They just seem like semi-nasty stuff. I'm curious and hope someone with direct knowledge weighs in.
Raptor Liner, at least, has very little smell. I have lined the interior floor of a van after patching the floor, the entire floor and a few inches up the walls of a VW bus. No smell whatsoever after a couple days.
