Selling van
So this is my first post and I don't have message board experience but here it goes...
Our Sportsmobile has outlived our ability to enjoy it's full performance.
I want to post it here and give the SMB community a first look before I post it to Craig's List.
It's a 1999 E-350 7.3 Turbo Diesel Powerstroke, Extended body, Quigley 4x4, with Penthouse pop top which we had Alan in Fresno build for us.
It has 142,500 miles and we installed a HD 4R100 Transmission and intercooler replaced at 110,000 and keep it serviced regularly at the Commercial Ford dealer in Salinas, CA.
It has a long list of options and the interior is well cared for and designed like a Westfalia with a tall closet in the left rear and a larger refrigerator behind the driver.
It has large windows and a fixed 55"x80" platform bed with organized storage under it. The two AGM Lifetime 4D batteries are paired and run a Trace Inverter to provide almost a week of refrigerator power.
There is a convection/toaster oven and galley storage drawers, fantastic fan and good lighting.
The water tank is 20 gallons and it has an outside shower and large single sink and all the water is filtered through a Sea Gull filtering system.
It has two fuel tanks and a trans-flow system with extra filteration/water separation.
The rig rides level with 3 extra re-arched rear leafs and Rough County adjustable shocks. It brakes straight and tracks true and we haven't abused it. Most of the off-road was sand and gravel roads and very little low range work.
The tires are BFG AT KO2 on 9x16's chrome alloy wheels.
The bumpers are custom and not over kills but designed to carry a 9,000 lbs Warn wench front or rear on a two receiver mounts.
The wench was used three times and there is an Hi-Lift jack stored under the rear frame just behind the storage basement. The spare is custom mounted on the rear bumper and it has a two bike carrying frame with quick fork connects.
There are bush bars and bushwhacker wheel flairs.
There is a frame mounted combo safe and security alarm.
We have snow chains, snatch straps, air compressor, shovel, axe and all recovery gear. Most of this is unused but carried hoping never to need it.
If you've read this far and follow this kind of thing you can probably understand.
So you're thinking how much and where are some pictures. I'll get the pictures posted once I learn how. Trust me it's the real thing and will be missed. Hoping for a good home and someone young enough to use it.
The asking price is $ 46,000 and its in Carmel Valley near Monterey, CA.
So someone give me some feedback on the advertising, and what is a URL?
