Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

Been drooling over Sportsmobiles for years after seeing them around Moab and ski resorts in Utah. Decided I had to have one. Still looking but will be a reality as soon as the right one comes along. Found the forum in my search when researching different options.

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

I was looking for information on a 2 person van RV that I could purchase secondhand next July after I attend the 2014 Studebaker National Meet in Dover Delaware.

I just bought an 88 Sportsmobile. I knew there had to be a forum to boot.

MadMango -- I'm in the same boat! We *just* bought a 1989 Ford E150 a week ago with a circa 1992 SMB conversion. Penthouse, rear dinette, fridge, micro, sink. No stove.

I use forums for my bicycling and bass playing hobbies -- I knew there'd be a good forum on Sprtsmobiles, too! Good luck with your new '88!

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

When researching what the he#@ a Sportsmobile was (first one I saw, summer of 09, my wife and I were heading into Aspen on the "back way" in on the mountain (about a lane and a half of dirt road with a 4000 ft drop….exciting!). It was everything my wife and I had talked of what a perfect road trip vehicle capable of traveling in the mountains would be…as I got more serious, in 11', found you on the web…didn't know or see the Yahoo sight, and now that I know about it and 'read' the other's here…no need to go and even look….thanks for the site…it is excellent. I can see fellow SMB owners, get great tips, advice, humor, and above all…IDEAS about where we are going to take "Sporty" the next trip!

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

G'day,
I saw an article in Popular Mechanics about 2 SMB's, an Orange & a Red one, looked amazing, watched some videos on Youtube, and I was sold, but had to have Bulletproofed, problem plagued 6.0 diesel. Dream now a waiting game till April/May next year.
