Measurement request on Aluminess Ladder

Hello. I'm hoping someone could get me a measurement on how far out from the body the Aluminess ladder sticks out. Don't think it will be a big difference but I'm looking for it on the mid vehicle drivers side on the body line that matches the bottom of the front windows. It's a long shot but I'm hoping it can use it with the surf rack I've already got on that side. Really appreciate any help on this.

Mine is a GM, but the ladder is about 2 1/2" to the inside of the ladder tubing and 3 3/4" to the outside edge of the tubing.
