aarcaris - I love those stainless dinner plates - I've got two on board - they clean up with just a paper town and a bit of hydrogen peroxide and paper towel and "Voilla " - clean as a whistle !

Same goes with stainless steel dog bowls. If you get the ones with the little foam things stuck to the bottom, they never rattle. And the looks you get eating out of a dog bowl make it all that much better

I have the same dislike for rattling silverware, so I 3D printed a holder that fits snuggly in the drawer. Each slot has a couple of pinch points that capture the utensil for rattle-free traveling.

Walmart has the matching plates, cups, bowls and utensils! Love them We have the roll for the 4 sets of silverware but rarely use it!

Walmart also has plastic silverware for a few cents each. I am not wasting my time or the water in my tanks while on vacation to wash and dry silverware. I am definitely not buying a 3D printer to solve this problem. This isn't rocket science.

Just spend more time on bumpy washboarded back roads where everything rattles and you will hardly notice the silverware drawer. but seriously, the origional silverware drawer in our SMB EB-50 layout was really annoying on the highway. I used to regularly slide it out of the swing-door cabinet,, put it on the couch seat, and put a pillow over it. But as we have done so many times, while my wife was driving I went into noise analysis mode. What I discovered was that the plastic silverware tray had a fair amount of flex to it, and with each bump the whole tray would sag down in the middle, and then spring back up, tossing the silverware into the air. I found a much stiffer tray, and that greatly relieved the problem.

We abandoned any kind of typical silverware tray. My wife sewed a dish towel and created silverware rolls kind of like the tool rolls you can buy. The silverware slides in and then there is a flap that folds over and then roll.
