Penthouse top reseal

I have some leaks in my penthouse pop top and want to reseal the bolts.
My question is in regard to the butyl seals (discs) I have seen people use to seal under the large washers.
Is this a rubber only piece, or is one or both sides of it sticky? Like a butyl tape you would use to seal a door vapor barrier or window to the body.

I had ordered some materials I thought I saw listed in another thread and what I got I wasn’t expecting. It is a rubber type pad that is not sticky. It doesn’t seem to compress a lot and I’m wondering if this will seal tightly.

What are you guys using under either the regular bolt and washer set up or the special poptop t nuts?

Thanks a lot.
