To rack a now or not?

I think they are Mike. The washer that holds the cap on might have added to the problem. With the cap off, the washer has a sharp edge. They should have used some kind of carriage bolt on the underside that has an over sized head on it and is smooth.

I decided to have them install the thule/yakima rails, we will use a ski box or be tying on surfboards, put the ladder on the passenger side for the back and will use the side doors for the front. Went this way reather than aluminess since I don't really think its a good idea to put a ton of weight up there, figure we can get by with a smaller Yakima cargo rack if needed. Aluminess does look good but...maybe if you were planning to haul something really bulky but not that heavy, boy scout camping trip kind of thing. Will report back when we get it in a few weeks.
