We are considering adding a winch too but I got bogged down in research and just scrapped it for now. I was leaning us towards a Superwinch Talon 12.5 SR 12,500 lbs/12V but boy are they pricey. I'm worried about river crossings so I ended up down the path of sealed...

Curious to see what you end up with.

We've installed several VR12000's with & w/o synthetic line. No issues yet!

I have a Warn M12000, got it on sale (new) at Amazon for cheap.
