Hadn’t considered the headlight switch going bad, but the rest of the lights work with the switch, so....? I already ordered and received the new harness, headlights and ballasts. Made it to our friends place in Anchorage, I’ll be working on installing the new stuff tomorrow, we shall see.

Take heart then, the ones I've seen it on usually means no lights at all, internal ground or power problem with the switch where no lights come on, so that may not be your problem.

I used an app called Roadside America that covers Canada and Alaska, I did have to pay to unlock all regions, it shows all the fun, quirky roadside stops.

We're making slow progress North, but we have done nearly 700 miles of off road wandering, including about 30 miles of bushwacking down a snowmobile trail but we finally made it to Prince George. The maps don't seem to differentiate between passable roads and goat trails, but after driving for hours to get to one, there was no turning around. Several hours later, with bent antennas, plenty of pin striping and lots of mud we finally hit pavement. Then there were the Mosquitos. Tens of thousands of them. Every time you exit the van means another hour of hunting down and killing the ones that got inside in the 30 seconds the door was open. It's all good though, the scenery was spectacular. Now I part ways with Bill (7oaks), he is headed South while I continue North.
