Door lock switch issue

Looking for suggestions on a door lock issue. 2003 E350 SMB. My drivers side door switch switch will not lock or unlock doors.

-Key fob, passenger and rear door switches work fine just fine.

-I took the switch apart and tested for continuity. Seems to look/test fine. (I’m not an electrician so could have missed something)

Anything else to rule out before I determine it’s a wiring issue?

If the passenger side switch works I’d pop that out and try it temporarily on the drivers side to make sure that’s not it, even though you checked it already. They are easy to remove.

Believe it or not the switches are actually slightly different. The passenger side would fit on the drivers side. I do have a new switch in order though. Crossing my fingers it’s that simple.

Did you test the lock solenoid?

The lock works fine when using the key fob or passenger side switch. That would rule out the solenoid right?

More than likely the mechanical toggles in the driver door switch have become dirty or annealed and are not making contact. The switch can be carefully disassembled and the contacts can be cleaned up.

I had similar problem until I opened the fob and cleaned the contacts. Now all doors work.

Following this..

I have the same issue, only reversed. The passenger side door switch does nothing. The drivers side works and the key fob works.

I have replaced the passenger door switch and it did not correct it. I have not checked the lock solenoid/wiring because the lock still works by the other methods. I havent yet looked for any other relays/components in lone that can be a failure point, primarily because I haven't yet bothered to order a wiring diagram.

I saw a service bulletin about problems with the rear door lock switch causing other switches to not work. It says to test if thats the issue by unplugging the rear switch and then checking to seee if the door locks work properly.
