Re: Scangauge question...
I installed ours right on top of the steering wheel column using the supplied velcro. The wire disappears into the gap between the steering wheel column and the dash. I wanted it in my direct line of sight since I monitor correct mph since the speedometer is off due to our larger tires. Since we have a V-10, I also have it set up for transmission temperature, RPM, and instant MPG.

Re: Scangauge question...
Just bought the scangauge on-line. Should be here in a few days. I'll monitor the trans. temp before I swap out the fluid with synthetic Amsoil. Wish me luck...

The Scan Guage folks have been pretty good in the past at offering group buys at a reduced price.
We have a couple we bought during a group buy.... I don't remember if it was through here, or through a Prius group, .... but we spread the word and folks from both places participated...
If there are a number of folks looking to buy, maybe someone should coordinate a new buy.

Re: Scangauge question...
D'oh! Just saw this thread and wanted to pass along the warning that not all xgauges are available for all years - I too was interested in transmission temp on my '98 but have not been successful in getting it working. The 2000 model may be different (or I might not have gotten it right yet), but I would still buy it anyway for all of the other features that are available.

Jay...
I assume that you sent it back for a software upgrade?

Re: Scangauge question...
THere is a guide online at the ScanGuage website that should tell you what guages are available for what model vehicles.

Re: Scangauge question...
Trying to figure out my scangauge. Trying to get it to the transmission temp. On the Scangauge add a gauge are we considered a Ford PWM of Ford CAN vehicle?

One of the two, hard to say. Try both! My 2004 ford is a "PWM", if that helps.
