AJ's 4X4 Hillsboro Or.

A friend of mine is looking at these guys to do a 4x4 conversion on his van. Anyone have any experience with them and their work I can pass on?

Appreciate it.

There's a guy on Youtube I watch to get Oregon trip ideas from called Primal Outdoors. He did a project with them where they converted his van. Worth checking out.

Same here. Watching Primal Outdoors YouTube channel put AJ's on my radar.

Hehe, ummm, I know a guy who knows a little something about 4x4 E's you could say, and he's seen some of the Javier, coughcough I mean AJ vans...maybe he can advise more on facts from his eyes.

I follow them on Instagram and they look like quality but saw a post on FB about a guy having issues not long after leaving the shop. Pictures of the welds and overall fab quality looked horrendous.

I would do further research but what I saw would make me steer well wide of them.

I don’t know that it’s fair to compare AJs to Javier vans without having seen their work. Unless there something I don’t know, (which happens a lot) they are completely unaffiliated operations separated by over 1000 miles.

See the latter half of the post above yours.
Yes they're two different companies, but similar outcomes/workmanship.
Due diligence is highly suggested.

We're planning on having AJ's do our 4x4 conversion. I talked to them, watched the videos on Jason's (primal outdoors) patreon, seems OK to me.

AJ's did the work on Jason's van (Primal Outdoors on YouTube). He hasn't appeared to be having any problems with it and he drives the van every day (he lives in it).

I communicated with Alex(?) about doing my van and he seemed to be a straight up guy. I seriously considered having him do my van, but the distance between Oregon and sw Missouri was just too far.
