Anyone dealt with Advanced 4WD Systems in SLC?

Kinda looks like they use front leaf springs like SMB.

Re: Anyone dealt with Advanced 4WD Systems in SLC?

When I ordered my second Sportsmobile in 2002 I had

install their 4x4 leaf spring conversion. With their operation located in Salt Lake City and me living in Moab it seemed to make sense. Their leaf spring no frills conversion allows for tight turns that is used by most of the 4x4 Shuttle Vans in the Salt Lake City area that run to the ski resorts.
Check out their site under "Clients" for my comments. Over 8 years my van never let me down driving mostly off-road all across Utah's Colorado Plateau and the Colorado Rockies.

These guys have been doing conversions for a long time and keep getting better. One thing I really like is the angle of their drive shaft to the front axle. It's not all skewed like some of the other conversions out there.

The flip side is the in order to maintain a flatter front driveline angle, the T-case must be clocked. This can reduce your breakover ground clearance a little.

That said.... when I do 4x4 I will go with the clocked T-case so that I can retain the Banks PowerPack. Normal T-case position would put the front driveline and left header collector in the same place.

Can't comment on their conversion but can comment on their service. I took my SK 4x4 to them and had them put in ARB lockers and do some other small work. They did a great and clean job and (contrary to some internet reports) were very friendly. I'm taking my van there for all it's future 4x4 work.

i like randy at Advanced. he did a good job for me on 2 vans and i'd go back again....and he's local for me. If you make an appointment for a conversion, he will most likely be done on time. I left him my van for a week.

Had my 1999 E350 done there in 2000. Not happy at all.
Maybe mine was built on a Friday.
