Anyone tried the superduty rear spring swap?

Sky’s Offroad Designs makes a Superduty rear spring swap kit that fits OBS Ford trucks and also the E-series.
https://www.skysoffroaddesign.com/pr...13780083605570

Has anyone here tried this and if so, could you report on the position of the new front spring hanger? I’m concerned my SMB grey water tank will interfere. Sky’s says the Superduty springs are about 8 inches longer, which looks like it might be a go, but it could be tight. Would be great to see which set of holes in the frame are used.

I’m running Sky’s rear shackle flip (Thanks for the donation from forum member Unreg!). My goals are to get some ride improvement from the longer springs and hopefully I pick up a bit of lift from replacing my worn out stock pack.

I believe someone posted recently that they had installed 89 f250 leaf springs on their E250. They didn't mention a shackle flip.
I know the springs on my 03 F350 are about 4" different length then my 02 E350

Yeah, I believe the OBS truck springs can be swapped with minimal problems. Not exactly sure about superduty springs in the van application without mods. I have seen this thread with a post about superduty springs by carringb who appears to have tried the swap, but not with a rear flip. https://www.sportsmobileforum.com/fo...tml#post277910

SuperDuty springs are about 3" longer than 92'+ E-series springs. I had a set on my van for a little while (about a year). They mostly fit except I could see that under heavy spring compression the stock shackles interfered slightly with the hanger-bracket. My fix was just to upgrade to Sulastic shackles. They moved the axle back 1.5" which was fine for my drive-shaft, but might be too much on a lifted van. My main issue with tire-chain clearance with my dually fenders, so I ended up making a hybrid spring-pack using the 2 of the leafs from the Superduty pack and adding them to an E-series pack.

Is it possible that 08+ superduty springs are longer than 99-07 superduty springs as this page suggests?
https://www.pmfsuspension.com/OBS-Fo...ets_p_242.html
That might account for these missing 5 inches.

After reading the original post. The brackets will fit both trucks but they aren't suggesting to use different Springs, only that the brackets fit both those vehicles with with their stock Springs.

Jsweezy on here discovered this and installed this shackle flip on his Van do a search with his name and you may find the information you're looking for.

Thanks for your effort here (seriously). I did see this thread and have the shackle flip on my van. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be anything about the front part of the swap. Rear shackle can flip and stick with stock springs, or the longer 08-16 superduty springs can be swapped in, but this requires relocating the front hanger (on the rear springs) forward about 8 inches. I did confirm that the 08-16 springs are longer than earlier SD springs. This explains the missing 5 inches. I’m hoping to hear from anybody that has done this and could advise on positioning/size/extent of this forward bracket.

If your making a "frankenpack", its the top spring that matters the most, as it has the right length. So keep yours!
You could possibly swap in the lower springs off some other application.
