Ahh, sorry, my fault for not checking the section line!! I almost never do, but should.
re: brackets - when people in rust prone areas are buying our Ford brackets, I suggest putting another coat of enamel paint on when new. One failure point to address s all the sharp edges. It is best to break the edges to form a radius before painting, which helps the paint to adhere vs crack.
Four years is pretty short. Has SMB offered a replacement set?
