Cool stuff for sure Eric, more importantly the memories that are attached to them. That being said, I know you were looking to re-coat it, but even then I would be wary of cooking on that aluminum griddle without researching a bit further, remember that back in the 50's/60's the coatings (or lack thereof) and aluminum composition suitable for cooking food were not what they are today on our cookware and you may expose yourself to some nasty stuff.
