Re: Wow! I own a Sportsmobile!!! And it's Super!
Well I am a single gal and that Sportsmobile was all my doing since at the time that I was considering this specific one, River Rat was under the impression that I needed a camper truck pop up 4x4. I like the room in the van and I like the fact that I can get into the driver seat and drive away from danger if some wierdo starts hanging around the van. I'll just take off if I'm in it and having trouble without going around from the outside of the truck as would be the case in a truck camper shell set-up.
Later, I am going to post some pics of my techno tiki torches I made out of stuff from Ace hardware and those solar garden lights with the three led's in them. I'll also show you a way to hang pvc pipe sticks off of the lip of the rim of the top of the van. It was made by a VW pop up fan and I am making a set for my van.
I would like to see awning set ups. I have some ideas and have purchased some things, but want to see what other peeps are doing.
Here's a fun time. I ordered a blue led light replacement bulb for the ceiling lights in the pop up part of the van. The led's are just ok and will probably not last that long but for 12 bucks, they will do the job for a while. Then, I brought a smoke machine and strobe light to a campout with several people attending. I borrowed the stuff from my motorcycle club and had a great party playing with the smoke machine, strobe light, and inviting people to host the music by playing "Ipod DJ" for part of the evening.
Wish I had pics. River Rat, do you have any pics to post? You've taken a few here and there and I don't have the copies of them yet, I think.
Thanks, Suz
