Seth, on nice days it is easily in the 70's, unless there is a storm with wind and lower temps. Generally, it is not cold.
Keep in mind that when you go out in the open, you get what's there. And, it can change fast with no notice. Be prepared with warm clothing.
I will be posting weather forecasts here as the time approaches.

Count me in-Just got back last night from Panamint Valley...
...it is awesome . I definitely want to go back. I will plan to come Friday-Sunday, and maybe even get there Thursday.
I was there this weekend for Panamint Valley Days, towing my Jeep Cherokee on a flatbed trailer with the SMB. The SMB handled better than expected.
We visited and went in several mines including Defense Mine, Gem Mine and Lotus Mine. Also saw Barker Ranch and several other cabins. I used the Jeep for some serious rock crawling but look forward to putting the SMB to good use in January. Not sure if my wife can make it yet-will have to let you know later.
Thanks for putting this together.

I'm DEFINATELY IN. Probably arrive Friday possibly Thurs. We'll see how much time we can get. I'm bringing Climbing gear and another Golden Retreiver. I may want to also go to the Bristlecone Pines Wilderness area if anyone else is interested. If there is snow in the Sierra's I'm bringing the Backcountry Ski gear. I'll Leave my other Sportsmobiles at home.

Steve, that's great. You can suggest a trail or two. I know most all of 'em. We'll talk more about it later.
Bones, congrats on the new rig. Looking forward to meeting you. Mine is only three months old. The Bristlecone Pine Forest may not be accessible due to snow. I usually take Silver Canyon up there, which may not work well for some EB's. Besides, the gate will likely be locked.

Trails and Photos
Jeffrey,
I forgot to mention in my last post that your photos are awesome. (Saw your website). I would love to get a photo lesson. Just got a Canon 40D and used a 5D on my 7 week SMB roadtrip.
I am sure several of us would welcome a lesson from a true pro like yourself!
Also, I got my Death Valley SUV Trails book out and will make some suggestions.

January trip
Jeffrey,
We would be interested in going on the January trip if there is any openings. It would be 2 adults and a dog. We're retired and can be there any time and stay as long as we want to.
We have a 07 Ford RB50, Baja Tan, 6.0

Jeffery , I would also like to try and make this trip if our new rig is finally finished , would be a great break in trip and one of the best times to visit the Eastern Sierra/White Mountains .We are at four plus months and waiting on our Rig.
