What did you do to your SMB today?

You're welcome. Looking good Ron.

Zeta, what dust filter did you use for the Espar?
Found a $10 air filter at Sears for my Espar D4.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Probably a good idea Ron. I was talking with Greg at Lubrications Specialists the other day and he suggested the same thing. I know Tom (Zeta) added one. Really there is no reason to install a high dollar filter that can be replaced with something easy to find and works as well.

Tell us how it works I'm ready to do the same.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I made a small, but satisfying improvement to the refrigerator. My SMB's 'fridge has a small thumb latch that flips down to hold the door closed on the road. It works great, but...

Is it just me, or do others find themselves driving down the road and then suddenly thinking "Did I latch that door?" I swear it's like going on vacation and then spending the last week wondering if you left the iron on and will come around the corner for home and just see a pile of smoking rubble. So far, 99% of the time when I pulled over to check it WAS latched (and the one time it wasn't I got lucky and it stayed closed), but that's a bother.

My SMB has an RB 30/31 type plan, so the fridge can be seen in the rear-view mirror while driving, but the latch and the surround are dark, dark grey, so while you can *try* to see it, you can't really tell if it's latched or not. So yesterday I cut out a small "dot" of retro-reflective tape from a roll I had, and I stuck it to the forward-facing portion of the latch, which is visible when it's properly latched. Now a glance in the mirror shows me that it's latched (or that I had better pull over pronto!). I can even see it at night when there is an oncoming car (but it's not large enough to be distracting), or presumably if I shine a light backward.

When the 'fridge is unlatched the tape is completely out of sight.

I like how a small, "free" improvement can make things so much handier.

Visited Aluminess and bought 1 of their blemished Deluxe box. Mike and Kenny was super helpful and got it installed for me. Very happy.

Took my dinette seat cushions over to the Foam Man for replacement foam. Looking forward to a better nights sleep.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I packed mine with 5 surf/paddle boards and cut out of work early
That and I too visited Aluminess a month back for a bunch of accessories. New Deluxe box, locking door 2 new aluminess swings arms to replace the ones that were damaged out at Burningman. Couple crashed into the back tire on an electric three wheeled scooter at a high rate of speed. Yes, it was parked. This happened during a dust storm. Great guys and they couldn't be cooler. Got a tour of the shop as well. Thinking about pulling the trigger on the Jimmy Buffet custom side mounted ladder surf mounts Mounted the Shovel behind box, lockable gas cap. New transfer knobs, mounted the home defense system.. (Axe and bear spray) and bought new compressor and solar for the rig. Next a fridge.
