Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Well, it's more like the last few days...I went ahead and freshened up the front end of my '02 Quigley 7.3 (w/ only 82k on the clock).

New Round Quigley Torque arms installed to replace my 'recalled' open square arms
New Trackbar w/ Poly bushings
New front sway bar bushings - both the frame and axle - replaced w/ Poly bushings
New heavy duty Steering Stabilizer (guessing it's the Skyjacker one - got it from Quigley when I ordered the other parts)
Fresh coat of Rustoleum Flat Blk to make her underbits look all purty

Just got back from the test drive and Thumbs Up! Noticeable increase in the overall ride/smoothness w/ none of the clunking I had before, guessing the trackbar/bushings and new swaybar bushings helped here, the stock ones were toasted. The Fox shocks up front still felt good - will get them rebuilt later this yr at some point...

Felt good to do it all myself and learn along the way. Didn't loose too much skin off the knuckles...

Off to Southern UT next week the wife and kids for a much needed MTB fix...

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Dropped my SMB off at the dealer for first spark plug replacement on my 5.4l engine (1998 @ 88k miles). Fingers crossed none of them break! $399 for the plug replacement, and $100 each if they break and have to get repaired. That's stupid expensive for eight spark plugs, but cheaper than another nearby dealer that wanted $600 + extra if they break. My dealer sent me a 20% off service coupon, so I figured it was as good a time as any to take it in.

Update: all plugs done, no breakage, and $327 including tax after my coupon. Yeah!

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Well my first trip after having brake rotors replaced, one of my warn hubs fell off. I knew the shop was going to take care of it so I used this as a chance to upgrade to the premium hubs. I like the look and will have to test them out soon.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

So here we go. Van update in the works. Good old Rusty is going to get some fancy new gear. Solar, water heater, new battery, new propane tank, full insulation overhaul, water purifier, accumulation tank and some other stuff I'll remember later. Hopefully get new RIP suspension in the future. Wish me luck, this is going to be one hell of a big chore.

I did the hid upgrade with day time running lights and like it. The only issue is the harness need about 3 inches more to be perfect.

I want to see these in person at the DRV. The stock headlights are terrible! Looks good but want to know your thoughts on actual use.
