Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

New turbo. After 7 years and 80K on the rebuilt unit. Runs about the same, but this never sticks like the old one did sometimes. Sealed a couple of exhaust leaks at the same time.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Got rid of the plastic cap on the fuel filter and installed an Autometer fuel pressure gage to match the AM pyro installed by the PO in the dash. Because of ducting I had to use the space where the cigarette lighter was but still have the power plug so it really wasn't needed. Unless I start smoking I guess.

I got the billet aluminum cap from Dieselmanor for $49. That's quite a bit cheaper than the Sinister or Bulletproof diesel options. RiffRaff diesel had the best price on the gage.

PSI at idle is 50psi which is right in there at specs but one of these days I'll due the blue spring upgrade.

Yep, maybe that's why the gage is so expensive. The alternative doesn't make much sense to me. I'd rather not bring diesel under pressure into the cab

PO installed one in my rig. It was a big selling point.
