Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

New paint job. Picked it up today. Decent job for $375. I did the prep and supplied the paint.

Just the factory ford cream but the big blue and brown stripes are gone. Goodbye 1980s-hello 1990's.....Doh!

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Today Bushwhacker Flares. I'm not super happy with the results. I don't feel like they are tight enough to the van. Guess I need to mess with it a little more. I think I need to quite my job there just isn't enough time in the day to work on the Ride.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Blew apart a lower turbo outlet hose the other day on I 70. Huge pop, hiss, then no power. I finagled it back on then limped home.
So today I replaced the hose ($134) in about 10 minutes. I decided that I would tackle a few other things while I was nosing around. I pulled my EGR valve, cleaned it and put new o-rings on it. Pulling the EGR valve was not an easy task but I was glad I did as it was pretty dirty with carbon buildup. I don't idle much at all but i'm guessing the previous owner did.
I also replaced the fuel filters while it was all torn apart.
Skinned knuckles and snow, gotta love it.

Hooked it up to the front of the Jeep... flat towing to the dealer to finally get the 6.0L oil leak looked at.
