Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

We picked up our new SMB from Sportsmobile West last Friday and today I topped off the water and fuel and went and had it weighed.
Front axle: 4520 lbs.
Rear axle: 5360 lbs.
Left fromt: 2560 lbs.
Right front: 2020 lbs.
Left rear: 2700 lbs.
Right rear: 2620 lbs.
Now I will start loading all the camping gear and I will know where to put the heavier items.

Fuel milage from Fresno CA to Rohnert Park CA I got 15.1 MPG crusing 60-65 MPH.

Woody

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Took advantage of a spare bay at the fire station and installed a coolant filter. The hardest part was finding a spot to mount the filter. Everything is working right so lets hope this prevents the dreaded EGR/Oil cooler problem that so many 6.0L's have.

saline,

Where did you mount the filter? And how did you route the hoses?

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I mounted it to a tab on the body in front of the radiator and ran the lines up from there. I still have enough clearance for the -soon to have winch-. I have not yet put the protective sleeves over the lines to prevent chafing.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I put in a new digital thermostat for the propane furnace.

Also a indoor-outdoor thermometer.

Friday I picked up my new Honda Companion generator, serviced it yesterday and hooked it up to the SMB wow! It's amazing how quiet it is.

Inside the SMB I turned on the TV, sat. receiver, refrigerator, and 2 florescent lights, the generator just idled on the Eco setting. It was charging the house battery an 13.6 volts.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Woodbee,

I thought the Honda companion was only for use with a standard EU2000, not for standalone use. And usually they cost $100 more than the standalone model(for the electronics to sync the two generators).
