Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I installed the Door Talon tonight. Can't wait to use it this weekend. Going camping along the Salmon River near Shoup, Idaho.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Moved smoke detector to just forward of front penthouse support housing so the PH bed doesn't cover it up.

Added lighted switch to propane and CO detector circuit so I don't have to pull the fuse to keep them from killing the house battery when my SMB is not being driven much.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Installed door talon works awesome! Repainted underside of SMB using a new product to me called zero rust (ordered it online). Used 5 spray cans. Lubed all 7 zirk points. Tryed to do a front bearing re-pack and grease but got turned away since I couldn't get the front caliper bolts to break loose. Tried everything with lots of force and was afraid I would break the bolt off and get into another can of worms. Ended up greasing the caliper bolts and slides per recommendation via sportsmobile. I am planning on bringing SMB in to have the front bearings repacked at the Ford dealer and have them deal with the stuck caliper bolts. Waxed SMB.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I've done quite a bit to my rig in the recent past...
Action Van Ultimate 6" lift, Dana Splicer Locking Rear Differential (4x2) & Gear ste, BF Goodrich AT (E) Tires 285/17/R16, Rear Wheel Spacers, Carr Steps. (All this work was done by Action Van in San Clemente)
I was pleasantly surprised that the van drives so much better after this work.
Smoother, better acceleration, oddly it seems more stable even though it's taller (wheel spacers, tires?).

Here's some pics.
Before Lift:

Lifted etc.:

Created my own bike rack / storage box.
This unit holds 3 bikes, has plenty of clearance, tons of storage and slides back so the rear van doors both open! Link to post of the details: http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/vie...php?f=6&t=7470

Also, Rear tire carrier, New stereo unit w/ back-up camera, GPS, DVD, Touchscreen etc.
Added LED bulbs to all house lights.

Installed DIY under body storage box (basement):

Installed Bushwackers. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Tapatio ,
They really finish the Van off , I have always loved the lines of the Club Wagons and those Flares really balance the overall lines off .

You have a mirror heater switch? Would love to have heated mirrors.
