Not much to show today other than the finished panel on the passenger side. After that was done I had to drop the axillary fuel tank, that I had just stuck in for a test fit, and install the sending unit, filler and breather hoses, pickup tubes, etc. and got it reinstalled.

Thanks Herb. I'm enjoying the hell out of doing this conversion. Today was the 22nd day in a row and I can't wait to get back to the shop in the morning.

Wow, that looks good, west coast customs good (couldn't think of anything better to reference...)! How did you learn how to do the interior work?

Started to build the lower platform today. I set the ARB in and the two 24" wide aluminum boxes and got the top one scribed and cut. Everything seems to be fitting pretty good. I wish I had ordered the Lonseal a few days earlier but it should be here in the next couple days. I also got the holes drilled through the floor so I can mount and hook up the Webasto Air Top heater. I may have to start running it soon. I'm also going to install a drawer under the ARB and another one just to the back of it under the boxes.

I have the upper window moldings that come from Ford. If I'm not going to use the Ford door panels, how do you attach the window moldings? There are 2 clips on the bottom that are supposed to snap into the top side of the door panel to hold it in. Any advice on this?

Did a little more work on the cabinet base and installed the Webasto Air Top and Thermo top. The heater is amazing.


There will be an access door to the furnace and water heater just under my water storage.

I set a thermometer in front of the output. It started at about 50 degrees went past the 80 and ended up going all the way around to the 80 deg. mark again. So I'm guessing it's putting out about 200 deg air.
