Resurrecting this thread from the dead; after 8 months off doing other things (reviving a Bridgeport Mill, preparing a car for Bonneville speed trials, rebuilding a flatbed car trailer, and my day job keeping me very busy) I started back on replumbing both fuel tanks, and the 7 gallon Manchester propane tank addition. I stopped in May after faring in the welded area with short-strand Marglass, and addressing some of the surface rust under the van with a wire wheel, acid and chassis black paint. Ugh.
fast forward to this past weekend; I have the plumbing needed (do you ever really have all the fittings? no...) the propane tank in place for it's final time. I now have a donor body panel from which to make a folding door.
I have several different door designs rattling around in my head, I just need to pick one and move!
