That's so cool. Very straight body and preserved pop top. Not cheap though and it needs another $20k in interior to make it a usable camper.

It would be cool to see someone with the means finish it just to see it through.

Yes, this is pretty cool and it is located in the small town I grew up in. Looking at the map I realize how small it actually was.

Yeah, I figured another $20k myself. I wonder how the engine and drive train are. It looks to have a recent paint job. I don't think it got a frame off restoration.

I'll be the bad guy and say the dude is smoking crack. If it was somewhat close to Uncle Rico's van then it might be ok but this thing is ridden hard and put away wet. Maybe during the height of the fraud virus mania but not now.

I don't really see this thing in any way related to #vanlife, though it is obviously a camper van. I see it in as a classic, rare vehicle halfway preserved and/or brought back to life. From that perspective $20k for a solid body and complete vehicle, albeit still in need of a good bit of work, is a steal for people who properly restore old vehicles.

It would be good for nostalgia - I had a 3 on the tree before plus the 240 would be an incredible engine.

One thing that looks like it's going to be a lost cause is the rust on the back of the interior - it looks like it may be coming from the bottom and through the top. Over 50 years of salt roads and the undercarriage may be dangling by a thread.

The attention to aesthetics with the paint and the wheels but lack of attention to assembly and under the hood and structural care would be a red flag.

That thing's cooler than the other side of the pillow.
