Dave, very nice. How does it feel having a usable sink for a change?

It all be a ton more functional in the field and my wife loves it already.
I have NO idea what SMB was thinking outing that tiny sink way back in the corner...

This one is a ton more efficient and completely silent, not to mention huge...

Washing your face and brushing your teeth at the most is all I've ever been able to imagine. I've put a real sink (usually a deep residential bar sink) in many rigs now. I just put this little guy in my work truck and love it (link below). It's all a compromise but we prefer having a usable sink over the storage lost below it.

PDX Dave,
It is really a nice-looking modification.
I have a 2003 E350 EB50 completely original from Sportsmobile West.
Question: what was the reasoning for the floor mounted pantry?
Maybe it's because I am not married that my van has remained original.
I did find your sink modification and refrigerator very nice.
I spend most of my time outside my van. The interior has been functional and very reliable for me. I use the sink mostly as a hook-up for my wand showerhead. After 20 years I just recently replaced a compression washer in the hot water line to the sink.
I am on my 2nd refrigerator and the freezer compartment makes 2 trays of ice for afternoon martinis.
As I mentioned not having a wife has probably preserved the originality of my interior.
Dave your 06 is beautiful and enjoy....I spend 75% of my van life in Utah, Wyoming and Colorado.....if you see a stock 03 Sportsmobile say hello as it is probably me.

Wow great taste, very similar to mine that is in progress. The bed seat cushions are done in Grey. Just need to find time to finish.
