Norcold 3e quit working

our Norcold 3E has stopped cooling and is simply making loud noises. 2 questions: how do you remove the top plastic vent with the recessed knob, I can't find any screws or clips. Secondly, what is a good plug and play replacement. I can't find this Norcold model for sale. The Isotherm Cruise 65 looks close.

I struggled to pull mine from the cabinet is sits in when I had to replace our fridge - turned out there was (on each side of the cabinet it sits in) a drywall screw that went through the cabinet into the side of the fridge.
I just assume these were put in place to keep the fridge from sliding out. Both were set back about 4" from the face of the cabinet, and about 1/2 way up the height of the fridge.
***I did reinstalled them when the new fridge went in.
I'm aware of another member that had them as well - Might check if you have the same.

This was the same on my rig, the side that was open had a button top over it.

I'm trying to remove that grey plastic vented piece on the top of the door. I yanked off the temp knob but the dang thing is clipped on some how, hate to break it even thought the fridge is shot

It has been a while, but I just pulled the fridge out, never had a need to remove the plastic vented piece,

Yep, Scalf77 is correct. That panel is only removable AFTER you get the fridge out of its cabinet. You are not helping yourself to remove the fridge by trying to get that panel off.

There are four screws, two on each vertical flange on the front left/right. There are likely additional screws coming in from the sides under plastic caps like Scalf77's shows. and Twoxentrix mentions. SMB used long screws coming in from both sides further back.

Look for and remove all those screws and the fridge will slide out. If it does not slide out, then there is another screw still in there someplace.
