Re: Where does your dog ride?

I can't say I'm making the "Australian" part of the connection, but that's OK.

Any dog with the name Hops is OK by me. Back in 2000, about 6 months after getting married, my wife and I got two 8 week old Chinook puppies, and named them Barley and Hops.

Re: Where does your dog ride?

We actually considered "Barley" as a name as well . The Australian part of the name comes from the fact that the breed originated in Australia. Nothing more than that, just a way to differentiate the breed. I just learned all of this a couple months ago.

Re: Where does your dog ride?

Hi;

Dog names reflecting lifestyle perhaps?

Present Jack Russell- Pint- parents own his sister- Ginny
His JRT predecessor- Stout- parents had her sister- Murphy
Before her- Ale. She started it all.

If you know your stuff you can draw your own conclusions.

Oh, where does Pint ride? Wherever is most comfortable and warm. This photo from the grand adventure to tow the SMB back from Georgia:

Regards,

Gavin

Re: Where does your dog ride?

Hi BH;

You are obviously a well read and intelligent person! These names don't just jump out of a flat of Pilsener Urquell you know.

Regards,

Gavin

Re: Where does your dog ride?

Would it be wrong to name our next dog "Arrogant Bastard"?

A Stone Brewing reference? One of my favorite breweries.

Maybe we should merge to Favorite Beers thread with the Dog thread?
