Re: Extra gas Tank?
You're supposed to find that after spending 2 weeks and $1000 on a solution!

What do you do with the tire carrier? Can you just cut it out? It looks structural.....

Re: Extra gas Tank?
I'm not sure I hadn't gotten that far yet. I was assuming that a replacement tank for that, would use the existing hardware. I am not going that route as soon as i talk to Quigley To get my spec's im getting the larger replacement tank for the smaller stock tank alot less work. Although now i will have to put the batterys somewhere else.

Please keep us posted. I've been trying to figure out how to get that spare tire mount out for a while.

Re: Extra gas Tank?
I have a 2002 Quigley with a 25-27 gal tank.It drives me crazy to have to stop for gas so often.I looked into the Transfer Flow system but it was prohibitivly expensive. The factory shop manual shows a 55 gal tank for the E350/450 cutaway chassis.Does anyone have any experience with this?
I have a 90 Dodge with a 36gal aft axle tank that I going to junk soon and was thinking of taking the spare and mounting it inside and trying to fit the Dodge tank in place of the spare.I think the F series can be had with dual tanks and was going to use the Ford valve and selecter switch.Anyone have any ideas? rick

I will be replacing mine with the 55 gl tank soon. I have just gotten side tracked with lights, bumpers and building the int.

I don't see why someone couldn't use an appropriately sized rear mounted OEM Ford tank from an E or F Series vehicle and connect it using almost all Ford parts.

Re: Extra gas Tank?
The Ford E-series cutaway 37 gallon tank will fit the vans, and the 55 gallon cutaway tank will fit the extended vans if the spare tire carrier is removed (except the 37 on the extended vans. The 37 gallon on the extended van requires flipping a crossmember, and the 55 gallon requires moving it rearward.
