i found you guys thru the other forum also. i think this one is much better....sorry, blaine. there just seems to be too many resrictions on the yahoo site and if you say something the wrong-way you get in trouble. if the "seaunt" license plate post came through over there it could have been ugly, but here it seems much more accepted and that's the attitude i like. i know this wasnt intended to be a 'rate-the-forums' post, but that's how it is....

No need to repost that particular vanity plate.

That particular discussion had its fair share of offended members, and it's hard to say if it crossed the line. Keep in mind this forum is still young and as it grows we're having to put more and more rules in place as people test the boundries.

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

After reading all these posts....This is the best....understand I think, jage is responsible for putting it together....My hat off to you also...and I thank you. Jim, with Amsoil told me about the forum. Also, I have read everything Geoff posted and looked at all his pictures of their trips. He sold me on the 4x4. All that came though SMBw web site to begin with. Gene

Googled Used Sportsmobile for sale and got directed to a thread on this website (Classified Ads section). Very informative for us wannabes and maybe so to bees.

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

I was starting to think about buying an RV of the smaller type and have seen sportsmobiles at my surf spot, and my uncle has a buddy who rolled into town in his that he had driven all over europe and was headed to south america next. These rigs are really cool. I started looking around the internet and found this site. Seemed legit and a great source for my research into purchasing an smb. I sent an email to a member that lives in Idaho to see if I could check out his rig and he got back to me right away and was very friendly. I am looking forward to learning more about the sport and hopefully getting in head first. I appreciate the work on this site and I am sure that it will be of great help to me and others. thanks

Re: How did you hear about Sportsmobile Forum?

My wife and I were on vacation and saw one parked in Moab Utah, it was a green ford with Oregan plates, we both fell in love with it but unfortunately we did not see the owner than we saw another one (a white Ford) in Silverton Colorado a few days later and spoke with the owner. We were both so impressed that we forgot to ask him what his name was but definitely a nice guy and he recommended the site.
