Yes---before the black spot mirrors were known to fall off the glass due the adhesive losing its grip due the sun's heat.

That would be an excellent new use----most of us do not use the inside rear view mirror anyway. If we've done any sort of build out the rear windows are pretty much blocked to anything directly behind our vans.

JWA, I have an aftermarket windshield but it doesn't have a black spot for the rear mirror button mount. Let me know if that would be of help to you?

Hey Kibo----an image of the logo area and your van's year would be great!

Thanks

No problem. Our van is a 2011. Here's the logo:

And no black spot:

Sorry for all the glare/reflections, took these in a rush.

I'm fully okay with a $2 cover charge! If there would be additional charges that yields what I'm seeking that's fair too.

As can be seen though so far no one has the factory original windshield still installed, the logo's telling the full story. If you happen across a true original that'd be fantastic!

No apologies needed---these images are great---thank you!

That particular windshield looks to have been replaced somewhere along the line---Pilkington, a good brand, was never OEM for Ford plus the DW1504 wasn't on the factory-supplied parts.

The DW1504--of which I have one myself---seemed hit and miss with the black spot I'm trying to avoid, quite the puzzle to me. Perhaps in the earliest days of that number's production it was not, later production before being phased out had it present.

Good gosh I wish was wasn't so anal about such a small thing.

Then this one.... My guess is this is the one youre looking for?
The first set i posted, the DW1292 has no black spot or mirror for that matter, but its obviously an after market windshield.
This one is a DW1175 and there was another van there with this same DW1175 and no black spot.

You won't get any factory installed van windshields from Colorado they only last a year or 2 here. Lol
