Re: Anybody in Pocatello? :D
Thanks, carringb.
A forum member has offered to take a look for me, so if he says it looks good, we'll most likely be making an offer.
I checked out the longevity issue as much as I could on the good ol' internet, and what I read jives with what you say. Ideally, I'd like 15-20 years out of this vehicle, so finding one in my price range that's only a few model years old is a huge plus. I know we could always trade up, but for the money we have right now, this is a good buy.
10 years from now, it may be dated as all heck and y'all's flying Sprinter hover vehicles with the Aluminess landing gear will do flyovers and laugh, but hey, I plan for the long term.

What's scary is that the movie Back to the Future 2 has Marty travelling from 1985 to 2015. That's next year! So, soon we'll see those hover boards and the Mr. Fusion power source for our vehicles.

Re: Anybody in Pocatello? :D
OK, so whose job was it to warn me about this?
I had to make a run to the grocery store today, so I get on the freeway and I'm cruisin' along thinkin' about the van, and I miss my exit. OK, fine, I go to the next one, turn around, get back on the freeway. Emailed Derek last night to get his schedule*. I'm already headed to Colorado Springs next month. Maybe I could swing up, get the van, drop it off with Derek, and... Dagnabit!
Missed the exit AGAIN!
So I pull off the freeway, head to the store on side streets, park, lock the car, look around and... I'm at the wrong store.
I swear, this SMB thing is a disease!
*Derek is taking reservations for late April, in case anybody's wondering.

Don't you think you better buy it. You may lose the deal.

Re: Anybody in Pocatello? :D
I'm waiting for the final OK from He Who Controls the Finances. He says he's working up a spreadsheet...of how many times I have to wear the French Maid outfit! The tulle itches something fierce, so this had better be worth it...
(And yeah, I'm more than a little worried about losing the deal.)
A forum member is checking it out on Saturday. I've gotten "this looks good, but let me have a final look at the books" from the hubs, so the final OK should be in on Saturday, too.
As of 10 mins ago, the van was still there.

Re: Anybody in Pocatello? :D
Lol Dia! Thanks for the laugh! Haven't seen that old flick in awhile.
Oh, BTW, I have family in Co. Springs too and I can assure you that it is AT LEAST 2 hours from Co Springs to Loveland. No better way but straight through Denver and there's never a good time to go through. I've suffered that journey a few times. The traffic in that city reminds me of why I love my pop. 25k Tennessee town!
