@everyone... I feel a bit awkward in this role as conduit for Jamie's struggle, thought it would get over with right away and we'd all be posting to a congrats-and-welcome-back thang by now. I appreciate y'all telling me it is OK to pass along the info.
Christine and I have never even met Jamie and Suzann, but became long-distance, etherfriends via the forum, and their appreciation for the little films. I have always appreciated the tone, content, and thoughtfulness of Jamie's forum posts, so it stood out a bit when he got very sick, very suddenly,(we found out via FaceBook, Christine and Suzann are friends) and here we are. As others have said, I agree that I would rather know than not know and be wondering where the fella went.
So, here is the latest update:
Today Jamie is going in for a liver and bone marrow biopsy. They think he's stable enough for one and hope they can get some answers. Due to his low platelets and bleeding they are going through the jugular vein in his neck for the liver biopsy using X-rays because it's safer. His doctors need some understanding of what's going on so we are doing these tests. Time is short and if we don't find an answer we'll lose him. Please send good energy for a safe procedure. Happening around noon today and being done by an interventional radiologist who everyone says is the best they've ever worked with. Thanks for your support.
