FORScan

Does anyone have experience adjusting Odometer/Speedomoter settings with the FORScan to adjust for non-standard tires in E-350 vans? What interface module is required/recommended?

I don't think it works on 2008+ vans.......1der and I tried it on my van and got nowhere...and I think others have had similar results. It was a long time ago, so maybe things have changed. I seem to recall the speedo calibration was in the ABS module in the newer vans, or something like that.

Here is someone asking in 2018 with no response for a 2012 E-350.

A thread from here is no resolution for newer vans.

I tried to adjust it in Forscan as well a few months back on my 2011. Didn't work. Then I tried to adjust it via my 5 star tuner and that also did not work.

Another recent link for a 2008 E-350 with no luck. A Heads Up GPS display would probably be a second best option.

https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24808

This is an example of a GPS dash unit. I have not seen a GPS/OBDII combined unit.

Nobody has done a lot of work to document as built information on these older vehicles... especially the vans. You may be able to research 2008s that have the features you want and then reverse engineer the asbuilt changes. You can buy an IDS one day subscription but you need the right adapter. Maybe a good independent shop with IDS can help. Dealerships seem to walk away from these things.

The link above mentions IDS. This is the Dealer level diagnostics and programming system.

I do have a 2011 E-350 but no immediate need for this. It is only $95 shipped and you still need the subscription to the Ford IDS. If I have another requirement I might get one. I don't plan on putting oversized tires on the 2011 and everything else is pre-2005 which is the cutoff for this device.

Seems to be a knock-off of this.
