Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

I wrote a check. I think I should probably get used to that.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Pulled the Norcold and wrapped the interior of the cabinet sides with Reflectix. Attached Reflectix directly to the top and bottom of the fridge. I'm hoping to decrease the cycle times which were about 50% on, 50% off.

Built a 3 level shelving unit to hold camera bags on the bottom, food bin in the middle, and a tray for hats, gloves and maps on the top. (Sawdust yet to be vacuumed away.) Just need to get some straps and buckles to hold the food bin in place.

For me that was too many key rings - I put the quick disconnect to the same ring as the key and never had an issue. Also if you ever see the disconnects at a key shop get a few extras as they don't last forever and it is really difficult to track the plug and the keys as two separate entities. I just picked up several at a Chrysler / Jeep parts department. I also bought a spare plug shortly after my install as they make you jump through hoops (rightly so) to order them.

Yeah, that's just my spare.. Main one is set up better with Aluminess key/etc.

And I got a friend here who owns a locksmith shop, so I get as many quick releases as I need!! Plus, to their credit, CA Ravelco threw me a couple freebies upon install.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Finally got around to making a spot for my Hi Lift. I don't always carry it around, and the roof rack was just to difficult to take it on and off like I prefer. So, I took a sawzall to my brush guard and then cleaned it up with a dremel. A couple of coats of rattle can black to seal it back up. Not necessarily the cleanest, but it the jack slides in nicely and didn't rattle around at all when I ran some errands yesterday afternoon. I have a lock on the drivers side so it doesn't relocate.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

It is one of these http://www.gorhino.com/productsDetails.aspx?id=9488 . I'm the second owner and the original owner had it put on there, possibly straight from Quigley. I like it bc it doesn't stick out too far and isn't too heavy. The issues I have with it are that it doesn't have any tow/pull points on it and frankly I'm not sure it should. I also don't really now about what it would do in a collision situation.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Well not really today, but going through some old photos.... Here's a quick fix I made to stop those fridge door shelves from popping off when they're full of heavy stuff.

I've been dealing with this problem for 10 years, and two fridges. Fixed with 4 drilled holes and 4 screws.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Not today technically but I finally managed to get my SMB to the emissions place, and after she passed with flying colors had the starter batteries replaced and the oil changed. The really amazing thing is I then managed to find time to clean out the "garage" SMB tent that has had my garage-garage junk in it for about a year now.
