In preparation for getting on the road, I changed the engine oil and filter, lubed all the zerk fittings, did a rear brake job, changed the oil in the transfer case, changed the oil in the front D44 diff, added some additional weather stripping to the drivers door, Rainx'd the windows and mirrors, touched up some under, carriage rust, mounted the second spare tire, checked the tire pressures and started packing up............

Yup. This is it. Dark top hid all the coffee stains. Deeper & larger cupholders kept the cups from tipping over in the first place.

Not so much today, but over the last two or three months. Have almost completely replaced the entire starting system in the van, new Odyssey batteries, new custom battery cables, new alternator, and new starter. Night and day difference from when we picked the van up, van now starts instantly even in freezing temps. Given how dependent each of these items are on the others in these 7.3 vans, I'm happy to know everything is new and feel much more confident roaming out into the middle of nowhere now!

I copied rallypanam's idea of adding a cutting board to the top of the stove.

If you have the standard 18x13" Atwood two-burner, Amazon just happens to sell a 18"x12.6" bamboo cutting board, so the whole project involves a $20 bill and four screws.

We store our cutting board in a drawer, but have to remove stuff each time just to use it & put away - so was inspired when I saw your post. Borrowed your concept, but altered a bit since we like using ours outside the van just as much.
Bought an inexpensive plastic board 18" x 12" (so only 1/2" gap on front and back), then drilled a small hole 2" in from each corner to attach rubber coated magnetic feet....NOW easy on & easy off (magnets keep it in place securely)...and easy cleaning.
Thanks for sharing your post!
