What did you do to your SMB today?

Today I kust finished the last of preparations to install a double din A/V receiver that my wife bought for me

I am installing Kenwood 373BT . With back up camera.

Im pre wiring the dash for a video in/out for future backup camera etc.

I also opted to have manual control over the camera so I've got a lit pushbutton wired in so I can view behind me at any time.

I also bypassed the dvd lockout for the parking sensor so my wife can watch dvd's while Im driving..

I removed the dash bezel to mount in a audio aux input and usb for the headunit connectivity as it has no usb /audio inputs on the front because it has 6.2 inch screen.

Also wired in the microphone for voice control of the head unit.

Tomorrow I'm planning on finishing the install.
Pretty much plug and play now that I've pre wired my harness.

Phew
Happy Father's Day

Yeah, couldn't agree more! We're using the cassette adapter thingy from the former owner so the GF can use her iPod. It's ridiculous and the sound quality is a joke. I was actually cruising Crutchfield earlier today for better options.

Got my Pioneer double din at a Wall-mart for under $200. Works great got the backup camera and DVD lockout/ park brake bypass on Amazon. I can also turn the backup camera on via the touch screen to check on whatever I got back there while on the highway - actually quite handy. Can't drive anywhere w/o a USB port now though!

GCVT and others, I'm way behind here (and still laughing at Rob's socks as traffic cones) but that spare carrier is an SMB original they made for awhile. It looks almost identical to my 95 one that was original. I'm sure because it had only 19k on it when I got it and no one with any mechanical ability or sense enough to change it had owned it.
