Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Replaced vacuum pump on engine. What a job...hope I don't have to do that again soon.

Nice to have power brakes again!

Replaced the stock carpet snap down mats with dark gray loncoin like material from Amazon. Looks great and should be much more durable. Carpet ran contrary to the adventure nature of our van...

edit: forum being weird with db images right now...

Yep, I can't see the pics, just those square 'no pic' things. Can you also post the link to the Amazon stuff? I would love to check it out.

Added the 4 inch down pipe to the van. I was tired of looking at it in the garage.

Painted my stainless steel Reunel bumper with bedliner today. Looks great, we'll see how it holds up.

What did you do to your SMB today?

That looks awesome Mr. Henrietta, love it.

Today I took an inventory of everything in my van. I just jotted it all down in a text file on my phone and categorized it as to where it is. For example, roof box - contents, driver's side bench - contents. May seem like a little uber organized, but I have stuffed little things everywhere and sometimes I can't find them in a hurry. I'm hoping just writing them out etched them in to my memory, and of course when she asks where something is I can just hand her the phone if I don't know.

Also, I added a little piece of wood to my rear cabinet to make a tray for my 5 lb. propane tank.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

Scotty, is that a special horizontal propane tank, or are you just laying a regular one on its side? I don't think regular tanks are supposed to be laid over.

It's a regular one, but I don't use it that way, I just store it that way. I know they say don't carry them in a vehicle, but I always have. Anyway, I've always been curious why so I just read up here:

http://www.propane101.com/propanecylinderstorage.htm

When I get home I will see if I can position the relief valve on top or perhaps I'll angle it in there or something. I never sleep with it in there though, it's always one of the first things to come out for the stove. Also it's right next to my propane/CO detector. Thanks for the heads up. I may have to rethink it.

Re: What did you do to your SMB today?

This week I replaced the dual (6.0L) starting batteries AGAIN. I've burned through three sets of stock batteries in 7 years. This time I installed AGM batteries from Interstate. 4 yr warranty. At least the first two replacements were under warranty. These AGM's were not cheap, just over $300 each. Never seen the engine turn over and start so fast!
